Saturday June 25th - Second X1 V Rogerstone
The two's saw off local rivals Rogerstone with a 7 wicket victory at home. Fielding first again the Fugies restricted Rogerstone to 123 from 44 overs, Roy was the pick of the bowlers with 4-22. Early wickets fell for the Home team but good scores from Josh (40 no), Phil H (28) and Roy (Mr Not Out look at my average) 26 NOT OUT saw the home team to victory. -
Saturday June 4th- Ebbw Vale V First XI
The First team keep on clocking up the victories with an 8 wicket victory over Ebbw Vale. Ebbw vale batted first and scored 201 - 7. Jonesey, Barnsey and Dids all getting 2 wickets a piece. Jonesey scores a magnifcent century to lead the team to a comfortable victory. -
Saturday May 28th - Malpas V First XI
Fugies manage a 6 wicket victory over local rivals Malpas. A nervy Nigel Pryce manages to see out the win with a boundary off the penultimate ball of the match after a reduced overs game due to rain. -
Saturday May 21st - First X1 V Hoovers XI
Newport Fugitives 245-9 (M Lewis 63 n.o D Adams 45 J Didcote 36 R Jones 34) beat Hoovers 126 all out (R Jones 4-29 M Lewis 2-6 B Swart 2-25) by 119 runs.. -
Saturday May 21st - Lisvane V Second XI
The second team managed a comfortable victory against Lisvane. Lisvane 217-8 P Hales 5-20) lost to Newport Fugitives 219-1 (P Meredith 81 n.o P Hales 79 n.o J Vaughan 30) by nine wkts. -
Saturday May 14th - Miskin Manor V First XI
Major disappointment all round as the first team crumble to a 10 wicket loss at Miskin. -
Saturday May 14th - Second XI V Miskin Manor
The second team followed the firsts with a poor performance against Miskin, losing by 73 runs -
Sunday May 8th - Second XI V Welsh Asians
The second team managed a tie in a nailbiting encounter at Cathedral school Cardiff. Welsh Asians 192 all out (Roy 4-26) tied Fugies 192 all out (Roy 74 not out, Bridgey 27) -
Saturday May 7th - First XI V Vale
The first team have started 2011 with a hard fought victory over league newcomers the Vale. Fugitives 228-9 ( D Adams 43, Lewey 73) bt Vale 185 all out (Lewey 4-34, Dids 3-15) by 43 runs. -
Saturday April 30th - First XI V Llantwit Major
An outstanding 116 by Sam Pickford wasn't enough for Llantwit Major Cavaliers as The Fugies knock the runs off in the 43rd over thanks to an unbeaten 87 by Matthew Evans -
